This past Saturday, students in the 4th and 5th grade Gifted and Talented (G/T) program took part in our Spark Saturday enrichment event. The event, designed to provide hands-on learning experiences, featured an exciting lineup of STEM activities and interactive demonstrations.
Students had the opportunity to engage with innovative STEM activities provided by the Kentucky Science Center, fostering curiosity and a love for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Additionally, participants explored hands-on experiences in the Pax Lab at SCMS, where they delved into creative problem-solving and critical thinking exercises.
The success of the event was made possible not only by the enthusiastic young learners but also by the dedication of several G/T high school and middle school students who volunteered their time on Saturday morning. Their support and mentorship helped ensure an engaging and inspiring experience for all attendees.
Spark Saturday was a fantastic kickoff to what promises to be an ongoing opportunity for enrichment and discovery. We look forward to future events where students can continue to explore, learn, and grow!
